EVALUATION AND REPORTING OF PUPIL PROGRESS

The formal reporting procedure requires four reports each school year. The first report consists of a scheduled parent/teacher conference occurring at or close to the end of the first quarter. For the second report, a written report card including grades and narrative comments is issued at the end of the first semester, usually mid to late January. The third report consists of a parent/teacher conference scheduled at or near the close of the third quarter. The fourth and final report is a written report card that is issued at the end of the school year. Written reports are mailed to the home. A copy of each report is placed in the child's permanent record file. Additional parent/teacher conferences may be held throughout the school year. Such conferences can be initiated by either the school or the parents.
