Sweet Potato Harvest

Spoede Students planted sweet potatoes last spring and had a HUGE harvest this fall.  Many of the sweet potatoes were cooked and served to all students to taste in the Spoede cafeteria.  They were delicious, and hopefully many student now know that they like this very nutritional vegetable.  We had so many sweet potatoes that we were also able to donate lots of them to two food pantries:  Westside Baptist Church Missionary and the Jewish Family & Children's Services of St. Louis.  Another sweet success for the Outdoor Learning Center!!!  Anyone wishing to get involved in an outdoor garden project should contact Kathie Dolan <kdolan@ladueschoools.net> or Jennifer Riesenmy <jriesenmy@ladueschools.net>.
