WELCOME TO THE
Music instruction at Spoede Elementary involves a variety of methods, teaching to all learning styles. The curriculum develops musical concepts such as form, harmony, musical expression, music history, music reading, and rhythm. The curriculum is taught using an eclectic approach of methods such as Orff, Dalcroze, Kodaly, and traditional approaches to music education. MUSIC CLASS EXPECTATIONS
Spoede's students have music for one hour and 15 minutes per week. The rules for the classroom are as follows:
Respect everyone and everything in the room.
Show Ownership. Admit your mistakes and do what you can to fix them.
Cooperate by always being "in harmony" with others.
Only use Kind words.
Show safety by keeping your hands, feet, and objects to yourself.
By following these simple rules we can create a positive atmosphere where everyone can learn.
