Homework

During the second semester of first grade students will complete "Story of the Week" homework! Please look in your child's homework folder for the first "Story of the Week" on Friday, January 13th. "Story of the Week" homework will come home on Friday and be due the following Thursday. We will also begin our spelling word lists and tests during the second semester of school.

Please make sure you are reading with your child each night. There are so many benefits to reading with your son/daughter.

Why should we read aloud with our children?

+ improves language and speech development

+ increases vocabulary and word pronunciation
