Meet Mrs. Parham

Hi! My name is Carolyn Parham. I have been teaching second grade at Conway School for nineteen years. My first year at Conway, I taught fifth grade. Lucky for me, a second grade position opened after that year! You might be interested in knowing that I did indeed have a life before Conway! For four years, I was a travel director for INTRAV. Through this exciting experience, I actually explored 62 countries! Prague, Sydney, and Nairobi are my top three favorite cities! My love for learning about new places and cultures is shared with my students! Prior to traveling the world, I taught four years in Jefferson County, Missouri. Three of those years, you guessed it, were in second grade. My very first year of teaching was in a Learning Disabiities Resource Room. I attended the University of Missouri - Columbia for both my B.S. in Elementary Education and M.S. in Learning Disabilities/Remedial Reading. I didn’t wander too far away from my childhood home, since I now live in Webster Groves with my husband, my two daughters, and my two very spoiled beagles, Auggie and Webster!
