Spelling

On Mondays, your child will be given a pre-test consisting of words that correlate with the literature selections of our reading program and the Missouri Basic Word List. As you will notice, the words will follow a particular spelling pattern. Each student will choose a spelling challenge word from the list provided for each word successfully spelled on the pre-test. Weekly spelling word tests consisting of ten words will be given on Fridays. Please encourage and help your child practice these words for his/her spelling tests. Hints for studying spelling words will be distributed at Meet the Teacher Night.

Friday Folders should be brought back to school empty on Mondays.
