Meet Mrs. Coates

I was born in St. Louis, MO and am a graduate of Ladue School District. In 1995, I graduated from Washington University with a bachelor’s degree in Architecture. After working in the field of architecture, I missed working with children. You see all throughout school I have worked with children. I decided to quit my job and go back to school and earn my graduate degree and teaching certificate. I student taught at Conway in third grade and was hired on as an intern in first grade. After that, I taught third grade for 6 years. I took two years off to expand my own family, but I missed my students and teaching. I came back in 2007 as a fourth grade teacher and am glad to be back in third grade!

One of my favorite things to do in my free time is hang out with my family. I love to play golf and tennis when I have the chance.
