Meet Mrs. Dick

This is my eighth year of teaching fifth grade at Conway Elementary.  I have loved every moment and am excited for another great year.  I grew up in Wentzville, Missouri and attended college at Missouri State University.  I graduated with my Bachelor’s Degree of Education in December of 2002. After marrying my wonderful husband in February of 2003, I started teaching here at Conway in the fall of 2003.  Since then, I have completed my Master’s Degree of Education.  I love to learn, and yearn to try the latest techniques in teaching and technology. 

In January of 2009, I was blessed with a beautiful, healthy baby boy, Bryson Ross.  On February 16, 2011, my beautiful daughter, Macy Elizabeth, was born. When I am not at school, I am at home enjoying my family. We travel every chance we get.  Most of our vacations include hiking in Colorado or relaxing at the beach.

Even as a child, I knew teaching was my passion.  I love watching the light bulb go off as a student learns something new.  Challenging fifth graders to try their hardest and to be the best that they can be is my goal.  My students enter as fourth graders and leave ready for the middle school.  Fifth grade is an amazing year!  Each student grows academically, physically, and socially.  I try to make learning exciting and motivating.  I have an amazing group of students and am ready for another fantastic year!
