Meet Ms. Monahan

I am so glad to be teaching fifth grade again at Conway! This is my third year at Conway and second year teaching fifth grade.

St. Louis has not always been my home. I grew up in a suburb of Chicago. While attending St. Louis University, my family moved to Northern Michigan. The summers up there are wonderful, but the winters are a little rough.

In my spare time I read all kinds of books. My favorite books are the ones I can bring to the beach over the summer. Some of my favorite authors include Orson Scott Card, Sophie Kinsella, and Suzanne Collins. These authors represent some of the different genres in which I am interested. I also like to travel. I spent a semester in Madrid, Spain. This experience was crucial in helping me understand different people and cultures. When I have the time, I enjoy playing with my beautiful niece and watching the Billikens play basketball. I am really looking forward to this year at Conway!
