I was born and raised in a small town in Ohio.  Though I’ll always be a “Buckeye” at heart, St. Louis now feels like home.  I attended Anderson University and received a bachelor’s degree in elementary education and a minor in reading instruction.  I discovered my love of books and libraries while working part-time at the pubic library in college. I taught second grade and was a librarian in Ohio before getting married and moving to St. Louis to be with my husband.  Once I learned to navigate the “big city”, I worked for St. Louis Public Library for several years and earned a Masters of Library Science from the University of Missouri. It’s hard to believe that this is my 5th year here at Conway!
            When I’m not in Conway’s library, I can often be found in a public library branch or bookstore.  Conway School is full of enthusiastic readers, so I enjoy the challenge of keeping up with new children’s literature.  I also love to take long walks with my husband in Forest Park, go for a run through our neighborhood or enjoy a great cup of coffee with friends.
