Special help is available after school Wednesday (or by arrangement) and before school (7:30) by appointment. Please encourage your student to take advantage of extra help or extra challenge.

7th grade

All students MUST have a section in the large binder or a separate 1" 3-ring binder for class. I provide dividers and they will label their sections. Binders will be monitored at least once per quarter for a grade. The purpose of a Spanish binder is to learn to organize their learning. The binder contains their new vocabulary, their handouts, stories, quizzes and bellringer sheets, and homework. Please ask to see your student's binder!

6th grade

6th grade classes meet every other day: white day/blue day.

Many extra curricular activities are available here at LMS. Please encourage your son or daughter to explore the choices and select one of their interest. Kids who feel connected to school are more successful.

Opportunity for after school community service club:

Kids' Connection: A community service opportunity for suburban and urban kids to connect.

We work in teams once per week (Thursdays) at CSC Homeless Shelter (Gateway Homeless Services), helping elementary and middle school students with their homework, playing math and verbal games (e.g., Apples to Apples for Juniors, math games), and working puzzles.
