Jump Rope for Heart 2009

Did you know ...

Old Bonhomme jumpers have raised over $25,000 in the past 5 years for heart research and education?

Jumping rope is not only good for your heart but also for your bones and your brain, too?

Heart attack and stroke are the #1 and #3 causes of death in adults.

This year marks the 30th anniversary of the AHA’s Jump Rope for Heart program.

Cardiovascular disease ranks as the #2 cause of death for children under age 15.

What JRFH means for O.B. students:

- a way to support a very valuable organization and provide service to our local and nationwide community

- a way to help others have healthy hearts

- a way to exercise our own bodies and hearts!  We’ll be doing LOTS of jumping in the coming weeks.

- a way to improve our levels of cardiovascular fitness as well as the function of our brains!

  1. -a way to honor our loved ones who have suffered from heart attack, heart disease, or stroke
