Creve Coeur Fire Protection District recently partnered with Spoede School to promote the importance of reading.

Some firefighters came to a Friday assembly to encourage students to read, record information related to what was

read on a sheet, and then return the sheet to the school.  Some Creve Coeur Fire Protection District firefighters then

came back and helped us celebrate! Each child that participated was recognized at a Friday assembly. These students

were invited up on stage and received a fun cup, donated by Creve Coeur Fire Protection District.  In addition, six

students, one per grade level, were chosen by a drawing (the names of all the students that returned the sheet were

submitted for the drawing) to receive a backpack and the opportunity to get to ride to school on a fire truck!
